Divorce and Child Placement

When partnerships dissolve, therapeutic support can make a big difference in assuring a good adjustment.  Our skilled clinicians help individuals, couples and families negotiate this difficult transition.

We help divorced parents engage in positive parenting across their children’s development. Some newly separated couples work with a co-parent counselor right away.  Other times, parents seek help when their children face new challenges, such as attending a new school or engaging with a step-family.

Custody Evaluation
When child placement issues are complicated, psychological evaluations of the family members and assessment of their functional strengths and weaknesses can help lead to the best possible outcome for everyone.
