Mindfulness-based Group Therapy
Mindfulness helps us manage strong emotions that interfere with joyful living. In this group, participants learn mindful ways to correct unhelpful mental habits. We practice in -the- moment ways to slow down our emotional reactions and respond to daily challenges in healthy ways.
The Foundations group meets for 8-10 sessions and can be taken repeatedly. The Continuing Group is offered weekly to help participants maintain and deepen their practice. Participants typically register for one cycle at a time, and commit to 1 to 4 meetings per month.
All groups are limited to 5 members. Session are one hour. Insurance coverage may be available.
Your facilitator, Maureen D. Rickman, Ph.D. has been studying and practicing mindful meditation for over 13 years. She uses a biologically-based approach to understanding how mindfulness and good mental hygiene can improve daily living.
