Sherri M. Hansen, MD

I went into psychiatry because I am fascinated by the mind-body-spirit connection and my desire to help others achieve their potential.  I work with patients to develop a wellness program that incorporates all three of these domains. In addition to medications, I also prescribe counseling, exercise, stress management, and spiritual practices.  I have been practicing psychiatry for over twenty years, and over twelve years in private practice in Madison. My areas of expertise are mood and anxiety disorders and women’s health issues (premenstrual dysphoric disorder, infertility, pregnancy, post-partum depression, and menopause). My other  interests include yoga (which I am finishing my 200 hour teaching certification) as well as being a musician and free-lance music arranger and composer.
